Band Camp

Camps are held during the school holidays with numbers ranging between 70 - 90 students. And with Bandemonium being in numerous schools, our camps give students a great opportunity to meet kids from all over Sydney and beyond from all backgrounds!

As part of the ongoing development and enjoyment of our student's musical journey, Bandemonium students are offered the opportunity to attend Band Camp.

Bandemonium's 2019 Band Camp starts at 5:00pm on Sunday July 14th and runs over 2 nights concluding with a concert on Tuesday evening. The camp offers students an exciting musical experience within a relaxed and fun environment. Students are given the chance to work intensively with professional tutors on their instrument, with whole band rehearsals in between. They are also given the opportunity to meet and interact with students who share their interest in music, as well as discover new adventures as part of the camp's outdoor activities.

2019 BAND CAMP 14 - 16 JULY

Band camp is open to all students currently in Concert Band and offers exciting music, instrumental tuition, combined band rehearsals and lot of fun and games in between! The Tops Conference Centre provides a great venue for students to meet band members from other schools and extend their musical skills and knowledge before finishing with a concert for parents on Tuesday evening. The cost includes accommodation, all meals, outdoor activities, Band shirts and folders for students.

Advanced Band

The Advanced Band is open to students who are into at least their third year of playing and will benefit from exploring advanced music and tuition. The Advanced Band runs during the camp but with smaller groups and a few different activities thrown in! Advanced Band is designed to develop new skills as well as hone technique. When registering you can opt in to being part of the Advanced Band.

VENUE

Band Camp will take place at the beautiful venue of The Tops Conference Centre located in Stanwell Tops, just an hour drive south of Sydney.

SCHEDULE

Around 100 students normally attend Band Camp. There are 10 staff and parent helpers at the Camp to supervise students during all activities, including rehearsals, meals and free time. Furthermore, activities such as the Giant Swing are run by qualified and experienced Tops staff, who guide the children safely through the activities.

ARRIVAL: Parents to get students to camp at 4:00pm for registration.

DEPARTURE: Parents to arrive at camp at 7:00pm for Concert. Students then depart by 8pm.

Everyone coming to The Tops needs;

Wet weather gear / rain coat

Personal Medication - Please complete a Medication Form

Hat
Jumper and / or Jacket Sun Screen

Covered shoes (thongs & sandals are not recommended for outdoor use on site)

Linen: 1 base sheet + top sheet or sleeping bag & pillow case.

Bath Towel

Change of clothes for each day

Socks

Extra pair of covered shoes
Water bottle.
Full length tops / shirts. Short tops are not suitable for activities, especially those involving harnesses.

Short pants. Not too short, especially for harnessed activities.

Note: Outdoor activities may result in damage / soiling of clothing. Please ensure
clothing is suitable for outdoor recreational use. It is advised that these items (+ hat) are packed into your day pack, ready to go.
